  8. Zip files
QOFcountdown is presented as a zip file. In case you do not know how to handle a zip file, here are some instructions.
    1. Download the file by clicking on the link on the download page.
    2. Be sure to save the file to your hard disk or to your server, rather than trying to open it when downloading.
    3. After downloading has completed, you may open the file to extract the spreadsheet file contained within the archive.
      1. Windows XP can handle zip files automatically, it refers to them as compressed archives.
        1. You can right-click and select 'Extract All'
        2. If right-click is disabled for you (some Terminal Server and VES environments), simply double click on the file to open it, then copy the QOFcountdown xls file to another location
      2. For earlier versions of Windows you may need to download a program such as winzip.
    4. The archive contains just one file, the QOFcountdown xls file. Once you have extracted that file, save it and use it as normal.
